We are dedicated to serving the pain management needs of the residents of Northern
San Diego County, and the surrounding communities. By utilizing
a personalized approach, along with the full range of treatments provided by
modern medical science, we strive towards our goal of alleviating the pain
and suffering that our patients endure. Patients have a right to appropriate
assessment and management of pain. Just as importantly, this should be
accomplished in a caring and compassionate manner.
Among the most challenging aspects of pain management is determining the
cause of a patient's pain. We understand that acute or chronic pain varies
from patient to patient. It is a complex combination of physical, social, and
psychological factors. That is why we treat each patient as an individual.
After obtaining a medical history, performing a physical examination and
reviewing diagnostic tests, we develop an individualized treatment plan. This
may include a psychological assessment since depression and anxiety are very
common among pain patients. The goal of this plan is the reduction of pain
and the return to a productive and fulfilling lifestyle.
